Hot Page is growing up! To celebrate, we’re marking our height in pencil on a door frame in the pantry every few months. No, not really! But we do have kinda the digital equivalent for a budding SaaS: we’ve got a changelog.

We are a really small team (essentially just two people!), but we are constantly improving Hot Page and we want you to know about it. Now that we’ve released our new editor, we can get back to iterating quickly on improvements and you know like tweeting about them or whatever we have to do to get the word out.

Well our marketing department (zero people) is also woefully underpowered so anything you can do to spread the word is greatly appreciated. Better yet, build some hot pages!

A Slick New Video

A friend of Hot Page, Vadim Smirnov (vscodes), developer relations extraordinaire, has started helping us out with some video tutorials. He’s also made this super slick promo video for our home page.

More HotFX: Forms

Plain HTML forms are not hot. It would be fair to say they are totally of out of fashion, but in the spirit of our ’90s revival, we’re bringing them back. Just, you know, without that icky page navigation thing.

The <hotfx-form> element wraps an HTML form and submits it using JavaScript, providing the result in pseudo classes that you can use to provide feedback to the user. The best part is the form still works even if JavaScript doesn’t load!

Our Code Library Is Growing

We’ve added two new sections to our code library: buttons and headings. These are fun! Why ask ChatGPT for a button when you’ve got 50 to choose from and you can see them all now? Learn through example and combine styles for your own unique thing.
