In this era of AI-generated, lowest-common-denominator design, Hot Page is going artisanal and hand-crafted.
Boring design is cheaper and more prevalent than ever before. It’s like the Bootstrap problem of 2015, but automated at unbelievable scale.
At Hot Page, we are all about doing things differently, encouraging originality and custom, built-to-fit styles. That’s why we have no templates— the best sites just don’t fit into them.
But that doesn’t mean that you have to write the code yourself. We are building up a library of pre-built page sections that you can grab, and crucially, easily modify to fit your own unique design.
The best part: you don’t even need to use Hot Page to use these snippets! Hot Page is just HTML and CSS so our snippets are portable to anywhere.
See Our Code LibraryThese hero sections are awesome. Props to Hot Page’s design wunderkind Carlos FAS for his work on all of these designs. I like them so much I’m just going to show you a bunch of my favorites.

Steal These DesignsFleurons are like typographic frosting. For the uninitiated: these are small drawings and symbols added between sections of text, breaking up walls of paragraphs and breathing life into pages. These tiny flourishes are as old as the tradition of printing itself—well, in fact, older—and we are glad to continue decorating our text with them.

See Our FleuronsFrom day one, you could always use fonts on Hot Page but you had to host them yourself. Now we’ve got 2,000 free fonts built in. It’s all of Google fonts (and more) and you don’t need to sacrifice your privacy and alert big brother about every page view.
Unlike the other library sections, these and the icons (see below) are built-in to our editor

We’ve got icons! LOTS of them—like 300,000! There’s something magic about SVGs in a web page. The clean lines, the infinite resolution, the endless possibilities. These are basic building blocks of visual language and design. Now you’ve got all of this silly putty at your finger tips— what will you do with it?

There is no most important element in HTML but the <h1> is more important than most of them. We’ve crafted 50 <h1> styles for a blog or article to draw in readers and bring your content to the next level. Add one to your style sheet or just grab a different one for each blog post you write.

See Our HeadingsWe also have buttons! These buttons are all over the map and surely there’s one in there for you.

See Our ButtonsIt’s been a very busy few months of development on Hot Page and I have A LOT to share with you in the next few weeks. Follow along on Bluesky if you’re so inclined.
Have a great week and build some pages!
